Focusrite Driver _ Download

Post n° 3

Another issue I’ve noticed with Focusrite is the lack of a download database (for their mid-to-low-tier audio interfaces). There is no well-organized archive or database showing driver and software versions, nor is there a chronological cataloging system... If someone needs to download older drivers (because they are running an older operating system), there is simply no information available. Yet, Focusrite has released various drivers over time in chronological order... Perhaps it's because Focusrite drivers have never really worked that well... but matching each driver version (released during a specific period) with the corresponding Microsoft Windows version would just make sense... However, now with this new Focusrite Control 2, it seems updates happen directly from the panel... Here, it's unclear whether the driver package (and F. Control) is being downloaded from the panel, or if the panel itself is just being updated automatically. In this latter case, the situation would get even worse, as the standalone installation package would be missing entirely.
